Antique Earrings are Truly a Treasurd Find!

Antique earrings are truly a treasured find.  Of the antique jewelry that is found on the market today, earrings are amongst the most rarely found.  This is because of several factors.  Antique earrings seem to have been made in fewer quantities than other items such as pins and pendants.  Materials were more rare in times of antiquity and with earrings, the materials have to be duplicated in order to make a matched pair.  Also due to the nature of earrings, many times they were lost over the years or one was lost.  Sometimes these single antique earrings are found and can be converted into beautiful pendants or even sometimes rings.  This makes finding an original pair of matched antique earrings a rare find on the market today.  Collectors know this and therefore buy them up quickly when they do become available for purchase.  Antique earrings are incredibly elegant and are always a wonderful wedding jewelry idea.  This lovely pair seen on the left is an Art Deco pair of antique diamond earrings set in white gold with yellow gold backings.  You can find these earrings exclusively at http://www.your-antique-jewelry.com/.  Antique Diamond Earrings, Vintage Art Deco, http://awantiquejewelry.ecrater.com/p/10537973/antique-diamond-earrings-vintage-art, $1,595.

Antique Wedding Rings, a Very Special and Affordable Option

Antique wedding rings are not only beautiful and allluring with their classic style and historical past, but can also be a very affordable option. Often one can acquire a higher quality stone in an antique or vintage diamond ring for the same price or less than a ring purchased on the market today.  White gold and platinum became popular by the end of the 20's and these designs are often copied by modern day jewelry designers.  Diamonds found in these vintage rings often have so much sparkle and life and you can find alluring antique faceting that is unlike any modern day engagement ring.  The styling of these antique rings often have intricate detailing and/or classic lines that will never go out of style.  If you or a friend is in the market for a wedding ring, here is a newly acquired ring to the online catalog, a vintage wedding ring in 18K white gold listed for under $600.  Available at http://www.your-antique-jewelry.com/ , Art Deco 18K white gold and diamonds wedding ring, $595. http://awantiquejewelry.ecrater.com/p/10419534/vintage-art-deco-diamond-wedding .

Sapphire as a Choice for a Wedding Ring

The sapphire has become so popular as an alternate for a wedding ring. It has wonderful durability and stunning coloration for everyday wear. Antique examples like this one that I just posted to the online catalog are especially alluring.  The intricate handmade settings offer antique style that one just does not see in rings today.  Sapphires come in a range of natural colors, but it seems that blue is the most popular choice for wedding ring selections.  Blue sapphires range from midnight blue (almost black) to light ceylon blue selections.  Like diamonds, sapphires have clarity factors that affect the overall appearance of the gemstone.  The fewer the inclusions, the clearer the stone and the more valuable they become.  Because they are so durable, one does not have to worry about wearing them daily.    This example seen on the left is a gorgeous ceylon blue sapphire set in an Art Deco Era yellow gold filigree setting.  You can find more details about this ring at http://awantiquejewelry.ecrater.com/p/10386984/antique-sapphire-ring-vintage-victorian .  Photo:  Antique Sapphire Wedding Ring, exclusively at http://www.your-antique-jewelry.com/ , $1,250.

The Truth About Buying Coral

The truth about buying coral jewelry is that most coral on the market today has been color treated. If you want to find natural coral, look for antique and vintage pieces. Untreated coral is rapidly disappearing from the market and will appreciate in the future. Some of the most beautiful pieces of antique jewelry used Italian coral that was hand carved into beads, floral forms, and cameos.  In addition to being quite valuable, by purchasing an antique or vintage piece you are making very little impact on the environment.  Antique and vintage coral comes in a variety of rich hues ranging from pink to orange to deep reds.  This piece was just posted to the online catalog and is quite affordable. As in this antique jewelry piece, you will see slight variation in the colorations, which is another sign that the coral is natural and untreated.  You can view the details of this piece at http://www.your-antique-jewelry.com/ or see the listing at http://awantiquejewelry.ecrater.com/p/10354480/antique-coral-necklace-vintage-art .  Photo:  Antique Coral Necklace offered exclusively by Aawsomblei Antique and Vintage Jewelry, $385.

Colored Diamonds, Available in a Rainbow of Colors

Did you know that diamonds come in practically every color of the rainbow?  Naturally most diamonds are found in the white to off-white to yellow range, but rarely natural stones are found in the bright yellow (canary), brown, blue-green tones, and red to pinks, and even violet hues.  100% natural colored stones are extremely rare and thus extremely valuable.  Today, diamond color can be enhanced with treatments to achieve a variety of stunning hues including the ever so popular blue diamond.  These colored stones are just as durable as a traditional white diamond and have become quite popular for wedding and engagement ring choices.  The durability makes them a perfect choice for everyday wear.  Antique jewelry examples are extremely rare and offer stones in unusual antique facets.  On the left is a ring that is currently offered at http://www.your-antique-jewelry.com/ with pink and white diamonds in 18K white gold.  The pink stones are not easy to find and have such a beautiful color and sparkle to them.  You can see more details of this lovely piece at http://your-antique-jewelry.com/Wedding%20Ring%20Collection/Wedding-Ring-Collection.html .  Offered exclusively by Aawsomblei Antique and Vintage Jewelry, $395.

Antique Signet Rings

A beautiful classic in the antique jewelry world is the antique signet ring.  Antique signet rings were a sign that you had importance or status in past times.  They were often worn by officials who would use the ring as a seal set in wax on official documents.  This is why one finds initials or figures in reverse on seals and rings as once placed in wax, the negative design becomes the positive and then is the recognizable signature or image.  Signet rings carried on into Georgian and Victorian times and became ornately adorned in rich rose gold hues.  Unfortunately, not many of these original antique beauties remain today and are quite rare.  Many were melted down over the years as there is usually quite a bit of gold used in them.  To the left is a beautiful example that was recently acquired and added to the online catlog for purchase.  It is English, 9ct rose gold and dates to the Georgian to Victorian era.  Please have a look at the beautiful details of this piece at http://your-antique-jewelry.com/Antique%20Jewelry/Antique-Rings.html .  Currently available exclusively at http://www.your-antique-jewelry.com/ , U.S. $395.
